Work.Pump.Balance. Journal
$37
The goal of this journal is to holistically support you – through all the emotional and mental nitty gritty issues that can arise once back to work. Oxytocin (the love/bonding hormone) is what releases your milk (let-down) and this journal works to activate that hormone through the act of pausing in your day and reconnecting with yourself and your baby – a time to relax, breathe, nourish yourself, and who knows…maybe even learn to love your pumping sessions over time!
This journal will also give you space to keep track of your ounces, so you can quickly notice if your supply dips, without creating another "job" to do in terms of obsessive tracking that stresses you out.
These logs are meant to be simple to avoid the extra stress numbers sometimes bring. For some, the numbers can make you feel better by giving you a sense of control and information, but for others it can become a "job" you come to resent and/or become obsessed about. Use this journal based on how it works for your mental and emotional journey with pumping.
Bonus: Career and Leadership coach Mita Fitzjohn, who worked for 25 years in corporate America AND pumped for a year for each of her two children (all while managing a sales team, traveling, etc.) leads you through a Core Values activity to help you clearly connect your pumping goal to your "Why"; when we can connect our "Why" and our values to our goals we are statistically MUCH more likely to reach them.
This journal is a great accompaniment to the Work.Pump.Balance. online course created by 30-year-veteran nurse and lactation consultant, Kelly Wysocki-Emery, and career and leadership coach, Mita Fitzjohn.
